Consorzio del formaggio Parmigiano Reggiano

Officially born in 1934, the Consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano has grown over the years carrying forward the art and tradition of a historical product, excellence and symbol of Made in Italy food. Bringing together all the producing dairies, the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium carries out the fundamental tasks of affixing the marks in accordance with the Disciplinary of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), supervising the correct use of the marks and protecting against counterfeiting. Today, as since its inception, the Consortium is engaged throughout the world in protecting the denomination and brand, in defending typicality and in promoting and enhancing the King of cheeses.
