NEO Empresarial

NEO Empresarial is an innovative Training Program for Future Engineers, located at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis. The objective of the model is to provide the opportunity to complement the training of engineering students (mechanics, electrical, control and automation, and production courses), by carrying out technical-scientific projects, annual internships and management activities. These activities are developed in partnership with two of the largest Brazilian companies, WEG and Embraco, and one of the most renowned research and innovation institutions in the country, the CERTI Foundation. In this way, NEO acts as a bridge between companies and universities, standing out not only in training distinguished engineers, but also contributing to the development of the country. NEO Empresarial's projects address real Engineering problems, meeting the ideas or needs of partner companies. As they are carried out by multidisciplinary teams, not only the technical capacity of the members is exercised, but also their skills in project management. Another great differential of the group is the carrying out of the Vacation Internship. Every February, the group's members work in loco at WEG and Embraco, full-time for five weeks, developing the projects that are carried out in Florianópolis during the year.
